Reeds’n Stuff Pre-gouging machine

The machine is equipped with two blades, a horizontal (trimmer) blade, and a circular blade. It is very easy to adjust to the desired thickness, and the cane can be pre-gouged to 0.70 – 0.75mm.

This machine is well designed, reliable, and quick and easy to use. Most importantly, it saves wear on your gouging machine blade.
Work with dry cane; and avoid getting moisture on the blades, which would damage the machine.

We recommend changing the position of the circular blade with every 5000 pieces of cane that you pre-gouge. Also, regularly check the condition of the horizontal (trimmer) blade, and sharpen as necessary.

Pre-gouging Machine for Oboe

• For tube cane with a diameter of 10.5 – 11mm: choose a machine with an 11mm bed.
• For tube cane with a diameter of 10 -10.5mm: choose a machine with a 10.5mm bed.
• For tube cane with a diameter of 9.5 – 10mm: choose a machine with a 10mm bed.

• For tube cane with a diameter of 11.5 – 12mm: choose a machine with a 12mm bed.
• For tube cane with a diameter of 12 – 12.5mm: choose a machine with a 12.5mm bed.
