This gouging machine for Cor anglais cane is made from a single block of aluminium, which gives it the advantage of perfect alignment and symmetry.

The thickness adjustment dial is very precise and sensitive (with increments of 0.5mm). This gouging machine is very precise and well finished. We offer a choice of two « standard » cane beds: a 12mm bed with a 13mm blade, and a 12.5mm bed with a 13.5mm blade. The second option is more suitable for the French market and for players who prefer a wider diameter of tube cane. The ratios of center / sides will be around 0.20mm to 0.22mm for a diameter close to 11.5mm; and 0.19mm to 0.21mm for a diameter close to 12mm. Note: we recommend dry gouging for greater accuracy.

Cor anglais Cane Selection

• For tube cane with a diameter of 11.5 – 12mm: choose a machine with a 12mm cane bed and a 13mm blade
• For tube cane with a diameter of 12-12.5mm: choose a machine with a 12.5mm cane bed and a 13.5mm blade
