This is a very robust machine, simple and practical to use. Beginning with an unscraped reed, it enables you to complete the full scraping process quickly.
There is an extensive choice of templates, all compatible with the Roseau Chantant shapes. The templates are made of extra strong steel that is highly resistant to wear over time. The machine comes with a template that allows you to choose between a U and a W scrape, thanks to a special tilting mechanism that is simple to use and holds the reed firmly. The carriage, with its ball-bearings and precise angle of attack, optimises the action of the blade, enabling you to scrape your reed effortlessly to between 0.10 mm and 0.08 mm at the tip. Depending on the hardness of your cane, one blade will enable you to complete between approximately 200 and 250 reeds before needing to be re-sharpened.
Our guarantee covers the cost of three re-sharpenings, as well as any necessary adjustments to the machine.
