Founded in 1998 in Montreal and recently returned there in June 2018, Le Roseau Chantant aims to provide its clients with carefully selected high quality instruments and equipment for players of oboe, oboe d’amore and cor anglais; and with cane, reeds, and a complete range of accessories for all three instruments.<\/div>\n

We distribute world class brands including Lor\u00e9e<\/a>, Howarth<\/a>, Rigoutat<\/a>, Buffet Crampon<\/a>, M\u00f6nnig<\/a>, Chiarugi<\/a>, Reeds’n Stuff<\/a>, Kunibert Michel<\/a>, Ando<\/a>, etc.<\/p>\n

We are proud to count amongst our clients a large number of professional musicians playing in major symphony orchestras throughout the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Amsterdam Conzertgebouw, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Dresden Staatskapelle, the London Symphony Orchestra, l’Orchestre National de France, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, La Scala Orchestra of Milan, the Saint Cecilia Orchestra of Rome, the Bergen Philharmonic, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Marinsky Theatre Orchestra in St. Petersburg, the Israel Philharmonic, and many others besides. We also do our best to ensure that we provide oboists of all levels with the same quality of products and the same diligence in our service, that have assured our solid reputation among professional musicians worldwide.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1556788505940{margin-bottom: 8px !important;}”]Between 2007 and June 2018 our business was based in Lyon, France, and we expanded our field of activity, dedicating ourselves principally to the establishment of a permanent and reliable source of provision for primary equipment and materials. We realized that consistently high production quality could not be achieved and maintained withouttop quality cane<\/a>. Le Roseau chantant thus became a benchmark in the cane market, <\/a>and rose to join the leading ranks of providers in this sector. Our cane from the Camargue region responds to the most exigent requirements of our clients, and we are proud of it. We have worked equally hard to develop our own designs for shapers for oboe, oboe d’amore, and cor anglais<\/a>, of which we launched a new generation<\/a> in July 2015, the <\/a>RC1 and RC2 shapers. These represent acoustic optimization and several practical innovations. <\/p>\n

Furthermore, since our foundation, we have organized master classes and conferences for oboists. We are happy to be able to help musicians bring to fruition recording projects, tours, master classes, or concerts abroad. Our efforts are directed towards a further objective that, in our view, is essential: to act as a hub through which musicians can find each other in order to communicate and share ideas, work together, and have access to a wide range of instruments and accessories.<\/p>\n
